July 13, 2003 Chuck Finishes 3rd At Beech Ridge The NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series rolled into Scarborough, ME yesterday for the New England Dodge Dealers 150 at the 1/3 mile Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. After qualifying 9th, Chuck put in a late race charge to get to the front and an exciting three-way battle amid lapped traffic ensued. Chuck had moved up to 2nd with 3 laps to go and tried to work the outside of #50 Todd Szegedy for the lead. Szegedy was able to hold off Chuck and on the final lap #48 Tony Hirschman snuck by to grab the second spot, with Chuck finishing the race in 3rd. With this finish Chuck rebounds to 4th in the points chase as the series heads to New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH for the New England 100. Chuck won the late race at Loudon last year and should be a contender for the win this upcoming weekend.
