July 31, 2003 Hot Shoe Scores Another Win For DeLange Racing Chuck pulled off another victory for the DeLange Racing Team this past Monday July 28, 2003 at Lancaster Motorsports Park in Lancaster, NY. Starting the feature at the back of the pack, the Hot Shoe quickly worked his way to the front of the field in the #22 modified. Once there he and #5 Dave Wollaber battled side-by-side for several laps until Chuck went from the high line coming out of turn 4, and dove below Wollaber on the front straight to take the lead going into turning one. Once out front Hossfeld would not relinquish the lead. Holding off second place #77 Sege Fidanza, Chuck went on to take the checkers and score another win for DeLange Racing.
This is the second win for Chuck and the #22 team in only five races this season. It also marks a milestone in Chuck's career as he passes Richie Evans to move into 7th place on Lancaster's Modified win list with his 23rd modified victory. It couldn't have come on a better night, with several of our sponsors in the stands including Dave and Laura DeLange of DeLange Racing, and Jerry Gradl of Jerry Gradl Motors, as well as Chuck's parents and many of his loyal fans. It was a special night for sponsor Jerry Gradl Motors as Jerry Gradl, Jr. drove the #2 Triad Advantage/Jerry Gradl Motors sportsman entry to victory lane as well. Congratulations to Jerry Gradl, Jr. on his 3rd feature win and 9th top-5 finish at Lancaster Motorsports Park this season.
