August 13, 2003 More Rain Postpones Lancaster Show The DeLange Racing Team was back at Lancaster Motorsports Park in Lancaster, NY on August 9, 2003. After doing a quick turnaround from the rained out race at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT last night, Chuck was anticipating a good run in the #22 DeLange Modified. The car was good in practice, but unfortunatly once again Mother Nature decided it wasn't meant to be as rain fell before the heats and the race was postponed until Monday August 23, 2003. On Sunday August 10, 2003, Chuck was scheduled to do some testing in a Pete Bicknell supplied dirt modified at Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario. Did he say dirt? That's right, Chuck is slated to drive the #42 dirt modified on Saturday August 16, 2003 at Merrittville. The car is one of Bicknell's backup cars and Chuck had hoped to get some quality testing time in Sunday morning. Once again though due to the rains the night before, the track wasn't ready and Chuck will have to wait until the day of the race to get in some practice with the car. With this rain soaked weekend behind us, let's hope that the sun will shine next week as Chuck heads Thurdsay to Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, CT for the New England Dodge Dealers 150 on the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series Tour.
