Hossfeld Finishes 12th at Ransomville

Ransomville, NY - Chuck Hossfeld arrived at Ransomville Speedway May 20th excited at his second opportunity to drive the #68 dirt sportsman owned by Ray MacIver. His first outing for the season was on May 6th and he finishes 6th in the race, but more importantly he gained some much needed dirt racing experience.

The Hot Shoe didn't have much time to get reacquainted with the dirt surface in practice, as the hot lap session was a quick one, barely letting the drivers get up to speed. In the heat however Hossfeld looked to pick up where he left off a couple of Friday nights ago. Though he finished 5th after starting 7th in the heat, on the track he looked much more comfortable and able to work the car than he had the previous race.

Finishing 5th in the heat qualified Chuck to start the race from 15th position. After a couple of early cautions he had managed to advance only a few positions. It seemed the team were just a tick off on the setup and though unable to charge to the front, Hossfeld was working the track, trying different lines and learning every lap.

He would cross the line 12th as the checkered flags flew, and he was all smiles as he exited the car in the pits. From the expression on his face, dirt racing is something the native asphalt driver is really taking a liking to.
