Mother Nature - 3, Hossfeld - 1

wait patiently for their turn on the track.

Lancaster, NY - That's the way the season is shaping us thus far at Lancaster Motorsports Park for the 2005 season. Hossfeld, the winner of the only race held so far this season, will have to wait another week to race again in the #22 DeLange Racing modified.

For the second straight week, and the third time this season, rain has cancelled the show at Lancaster. While the skies held off most of the day, the rains came heavy about 10pm causing the race to be cancelled. The events were running a bit late to begin with, as the modified heats didn't take to the track until about 9pm.

Prior to the rains, the DeLange Racing team looked to be good shape as they were once again quick in practice.

Due to Lancaster's handicapping system and winning the last race, Chuck was to start his heat 6th position. In the heat race Hossfeld quickly worked his way to the front before settling in for a 2nd place finish behind (93) Tim Mangus.

It is uncertain whether the race will have a make-up date as Lancaster officials are expected to make a decision Tuesday.
