May 2, 2006 Hossfeld & Hillbilly Racing Head to Oswego Ransomville, NY - Chuck Hossfeld will be driving the #79 Hill Enterprises Pontiac for Hillbilly Racing Sunday May 7th, 2006 at Oswego Speedway. The North Carolina based Hillbilly Racing team will make the trek to Oswego, NY for a 75-lap Race of Champions Modified Tour event. The fact that they are willing to make the more than 500 mile journey shows the desire that the Hills' have for racing and the commitment they have to Hossfeld, their driver. This won't be the only time this season that you see the #79 team appearing in New York. Chuck is scheduled to drive the #79 for this year's U.S. Open at Lancaster Raceway Park in September. The last time Hossfeld set foot on Oswego asphalt he was hoisting the trophy over his head after winning the 55th Annual Race of Champions 200 for car owner Jerry Gradl, Jr. A two-time winner of the Race of Champions, Hossfeld is no stranger to the Oswego Speedway and the team is looking for another opportunity to build on their performance so far this season. Oswego Speedway, also known as the 'Steel Palace' for the steel walls surrounding both the inner and outer walls of the track, is a fast and unforgiving race track that provides for some of the best modified racing in New York. In recent years it has been the host track for the Race of Champions 200 - one of the most prestigious modified races in the North East. The Parts Plus 75 will be the first of four special modified events to be held at Oswego Speedway this year in addition to the R.O.C. 200.
